Our Story

Built by a vet who wanted Mondays to feel different.

Brightpaw has been on Willowmere Ave since 2014 — long enough to have grown up alongside the pets who first walked in as puppies.

2014 — Willowmere Avenue

Dr. Naomi Voss spent her first six years out of veterinary school at a large regional chain, watching the appointment clock more than the patient — fifteen-minute slots, a waiting room that never emptied, and a nagging sense that both the pets and their people deserved something slower.

So she left, converted a small craftsman house under an old oak on Willowmere Ave, and opened Brightpaw with one rule that still shapes every visit: nobody gets rushed. Appointments run long enough for a nervous dog to sniff the room, for a worried owner to ask the follow-up question, for an exam to actually be thorough instead of just fast.

Ten years later, Brightpaw has grown to a small team — but the oak tree's still out front, and the rule hasn't changed.

How We Work

The philosophy behind every visit.

Calm Comes First

We move at your pet's pace, not the clock's. A slower exam is a more honest one.

Plain-Language Medicine

We explain what we find and why it matters, in words that actually make sense.

Only What's Needed

We recommend what genuinely helps your pet — never a test or treatment just to pad a visit.

The Team

The people who'll actually see your pet.

Small enough that you'll know their names — and they'll know your pet's, too.
